Aynur Tıkıroğlu | Artist & Independent Curator

"My interdisciplinary practice interrogates the semantic pressure of social processes on the individual and the realms of 'self-legitimacy' developed in response. Situated at the intersection of my roles as an artist, curator, and educator, my work aims to extract a visual taxonomy of witnessing, bodily memory, and unarticulated sensations. Through organic forms and conceptual metaphors, I construct an idiosyncratic vocabulary that proposes new modes of expression to legitimize existence by transforming established structures of meaning. My practice functions not merely to depict the visible, but to evoke the ontological void where silence and resistance reside."
